Dr. Genevive Julien, PsyD is a health psychologist integrating mindfulness, humanistic psychology with evidence-based practices utilizing a biopsychosocial- spiritual model that optimizes the whole person approach. She draws from her rich background of growing up in Maui, HI and diverse professional experience of teaching mindfulness-based curriculums to those of indigenous peoples, at risk youth, inpatient and correctional settings also specalizing in pain. At Kaiser Pain Medicine, she works in a multidisciplinary framework, teaching classes, providing therapy on the mind-body-spirit connection of pain and trauma, completing pre-surgical psychological evaluations for spinal cord stimulators and a supervisor for doctoral interns. She has presented studies at International and European Congresses of Integrative Medicine in Madrid, Spain; Porto Portugal and International Tao Science, Research and Technology in Toronto Canda on the efficacy of Calligraphy Art practices and Mantra Chanting as adjunct interventions for mental health. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors.
