Dr. Joseph Pergolizzi, M.D., M.B.A., is an internationally recognized thought leader in critical care, perioperative, and pain medicine. He has published many articles in top-tier journals. He has extensive academic, clinical, and business achievements related to his lifelong interest in advancing medical science and the practice of modern global healthcare.

Dr. Pergolizzi earned a B.S. in chemistry from St. John's University and an M.D. with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesia and served as Chief Resident at Georgetown University School of Medicine, as well as a clinical research fellowship in the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude and was valedictorian earning an M.B.A. in healthcare management and policy from the University of Miami Herbert Business School.
