Olivia Schmidt is a Registered Dietitian, graduate of Florida State University, who completed her clinical training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She has practiced for 15 years in 13 hospitals nationwide- ranging from acute care facilities to addiction rehabilitation centers. Working with all ages and across the health continuum, she has learned the nuanced approaches to using nutrition to help a variety of patients with chronic disease, addiction, obesity, and eating disorders. Currently, she is the lead program dietitian for two chronic pain rehabilitation programs at the James. A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. Here she helps provide nutrition therapy to help veterans decrease their chronic pain through individualized care and nutrition classes to focus on the most recent evidence-based approaches for reducing pain and improving their quality of life.
