Dr. Salas is the Chief of the Pain Medicine Service with VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. He completed his medical degree at the University of Southern California, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He completed fellowship training in Spine and Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship in Santa Maria, California. Dr. Salas is board-certified in PM&R with Certificates of Added Subspecialty Qualification in both Sports Medicine and Pain Medicine. He holds an academic appointment as an Associate Professor at UNLV School of Medicine and serves as Program Director of an ACGME Pain Medicine Fellowship with HCA GME. Dr. Salas is actively engaged in scholarly activity and serves on multiple national pain committees.
