Dr. Southall is Senior Director Global Toxicology and Clinical Safety, in Medical & Clinical Safety Sciences at Kenvue where he is responsible for leading a team of toxicologist and safety assessors who ensure the safety and benefit-risk assessment of all company products. Michael has been with Kenvue/Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health since January 2002. He received his doctorate in Pharmacology & Toxicology from Indiana University School of Medicine and was a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Dermatology, Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Southall is a certified as a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT), has served as a Scientific Expert on U.S. Technical Advisory Group to International Standards Organization TC217 WG4, is a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology, and serves on the board of directors, and is the Board Treasurer for the International Collaboration for Cosmetic Sciences. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and 12 book chapters and is an inventor on over 100 granted patents worldwide.
