Julia Gleason, PharmD, RPh

Julia Gleason, PharmD, RPh is completing her post-doctoral fellowship with Kenvue Inc. in the Self-Care Medical Affairs team. Her main therapeutic areas of focus during the fellowship included pain management and women’s health. Through various initiatives, she upheld the values of Kenvue Inc. by putting people first, caring fiercely, earning trust with science, and solving with courage. She also contributed to the overall Healthy Lives Mission to nurture healthy people through accessible and safe use of over-the-counter (OTC) medications.

Dr. Gleason completed her pharmacy training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, where she sharpened her clinical skills through her rotations at numerous sites, including outpatient pharmacy, industry, hospital, and ambulatory care. These experiences reinforced her commitment to patient-centered care. She also attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate studies where she earned a Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry.

In addition, Dr. Gleason’s three years as an intern in retail pharmacy laid the foundation for her passion to help patients properly understand their medication instructions and increase their adherence. Improving patient education and advancing scientific innovations for both acute and chronic conditions are long-term goals of Dr. Gleason’s as she continues her career path as a pharmacist in industry.
