Dr. Lisa Luciani is a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner specializing in pain management and substance use disorders. She is the Pain Management and Opioid Safety Program (PMOP) Coordinator at a federal healthcare facility in Central Pennsylvania and also holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Dr. Luciani has been instrumental in launching several comprehensive pain clinics within the federal healthcare system and is recognized as an expert in managing complex and high-risk pharmacotherapy. Her clinical contributions include the development of innovative protocols, including those involving ketamine infusions and low-dose naltrexone for pain management. She has authored multiple publications and is actively involved in quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives. Dr. Luciani also holds leadership positions in professional organizations such as the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists (SPPCP). Her research interests include opioids, buprenorphine, substance use disorders, pharmacogenomics, opioid policy, and healthcare utilization. Dr. Luciani earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, followed by a PGY-2 Pain and Palliative Care Residency at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). She is licensed to practice pharmacy in Florida, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania.
