Christian Falyar is the Director, Ultrasound and Pain Management, at the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. As a former board-certified vascular sonographer, he has been involved in ultrasound-based education for over twenty-five years dating back to his research with transcranial Doppler sonography in patients suffering from subarachnoid hemorrhage. In addition to his role as Fellowship director, Dr. Falyar coordinates the cadaveric workshops, and teaches the regional anesthesia and point-of-care ultrasound curriculum for the entry to practice program. He lectures locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally on ultrasound related topics, and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. He currently serves on the editorial board of the AANA journal and is the Chair of the AANA Foundation Ultrasound Research Interest Group.
