Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Raleigh, North Carolina
My name is Emma Johnson, and I am an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience and have spent the past two years working with the Emergency Medicine Research Department at UNC.
My work focuses on areas such as stroke care, deprescribing, and opioid use. I thrive in collaborative environments and value the interpersonal connections I build with both study participants and research colleagues. I rely on strong critical thinking skills to navigate the complex challenges of clinical research and contribute meaningfully to each study I support.
One of my proudest professional accomplishments is authoring a publication in Prehospital Emergency Care titled “Rural Emergency Medical Services Perspectives on Acute Stroke Care.” Above all, I’m driven by a genuine love for research and a deep commitment to advancing emergency medicine through thoughtful, evidence-based inquiry.
