Dr Mehta currently serves as US Lead and Senior Medical Director, Medical Affairs, Pain Program at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and was a Medical Director at Merck. Previously, he was Director of Acute Pain Medicine at the University of Texas and Medical Director for a group Chronic Pain Medicine practice. He holds a bachelor’s from the University of California, Berkeley, MBA at the University of Chicago, and Doctorate in Medicine at St. George’s University. He completed an internship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a residency in Anesthesiology at George Washington University, and a Fellowship in Chronic Pain Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
