Maripat Corr, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at UC San Diego, where she also directs the Animal Genetics Core and leads the Corr Lab within the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology. Her research focuses on inflammatory joint disease, with an emphasis on neuroimmune interactions driving arthritis-associated pain — particularly the role of macrophages and glial cells in sustaining chronic pain states through peripheral and central sensitization pathways
