Dr. Michael A.L. Johnson earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed his neurology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was honored with the John Hallenbeck Award. He went on to serve as an active-duty neurologist in the U.S. Army, holding leadership roles as Chief of Neurology and Chief of Medical Specialties at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. Following his military service, he completed subspecialty training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, receiving multiple distinctions and accolades. Dr. Johnson is triple board-certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He currently practices general neurology, epilepsy, and headache medicine at Colorado Neurodiagnostics PLLC. His clinical and research interests focus on neuromodulation and non-pharmacologic approaches to chronic neurological disorders.
