Deena E. Kuruvilla, M.D. is a board-certified neurologist, nationally recognized headache specialist, and Director of the Brain Health Institute. She previously served as Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for the Headache Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine.
A former Chief Resident at Brown University, Dr. Kuruvilla completed her neurology training there after an internship at Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at Montefiore and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical and research expertise spans women's health, medical devices, integrative medicine, and advanced procedural treatments for headache disorders.
Dr. Kuruvilla currently chairs the Women’s Health Section of the American Headache Society and formerly led its Complementary and Integrative Medicine Section. She is a frequent contributor to top-tier journals including Headache, Neurology, and JAMA, and her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Prevention Magazine, and Neurology Today.
