Dr. Hallie D. Evans, DNP, CRNA, APRN, CNE is a nationally recognized nurse anesthesia educator, clinician, and innovator dedicated to advancing the profession through cutting-edge pedagogy, research, and student support. With over 15 years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and more than a decade in academia, Dr. Evans has distinguished herself as a thought leader in nurse anesthesia education, program development, and faculty mentoring.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing at Florida State University, her research centers on the use of innovative methods to educate both stigmatized patient and student populations. Her commitment to combining technology with evidence-based teaching is reflected in her role as Director of the nation’s first accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educator Program at Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia (MTSA), where she also serves as Director of the Doctoral Completion Program and Grant Director for the HRSA-funded Nurse Faculty Loan Program.
Dr. Evans is a Certified Nurse Educator with a track record of successful curriculum design, including leading the development of micro-credentials and wellness-based education models. She has chaired dozens of doctoral projects, many of which have been published in national journals or presented at major conferences. She brings deep experience in simulation-based learning, interprofessional education, and culturally responsive teaching. Her leadership has been instrumental in multiple accreditation cycles, and she frequently collaborates internationally, including curriculum development with the University of Guyana.
In addition to her academic and administrative roles, Dr. Evans maintains an active clinical practice in anesthesia, ensuring her teaching remains grounded in real-world expertise. Her clinical work spans general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, and she is known for her mentorship of student nurse anesthetists in both didactic and clinical settings.
